TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — China has deployed its deadly Xian H-6 bombers in Tibet, further expanding the presence of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in the region, according to Voice of America.

An Indian intelligence report revealed that China’s Western Theater Command has taken complete control of Peace Airport in Shigatse, a prefecture-level city in Tibet’s Tsang Province. The PLA has deployed the bombers at the airport.

The site is close to India’s Doklam border, where a 2017 territorial standoff between India and China took place. India is researching how the bombers could be used if the conflict heats up again, the report states.    [FULL  STORY]
